Do It Anyway - Zen version - work in progress

Often we think we don’t need to sit.

Sit anyway.

Visiting our sorrow, regrets or disappointment can hurt.

Embrace it anyway.

We cling, to things or opinions, bear grudges or carry anger.

Let go anyway.

We are afraid to see the suffering of others.

Look anyway.

We can’t always meet the tightness around our own heart.

Have compassion for yourself anyway.

We use psychological strategies to work things out with our mind.

Cut through that anyway.

Sometimes we act from the perspective of judgment or blame.

Soften anyway.

We can’t know how the future will play out.

We only have right now anyway.

Sometimes we have to wait.

Waiting is a gift of time anyway.

You see in the final analysis, separation is an illusion. There's no ‘me and the world’ anyway.
